AS the two
sides prepare for fresh talks, No 10 insisted nothing would change
the UK leaving the single market and customs union on December
31,2020
The Prime Minister's
spokesman said: 'We will not ask to extend the transition period, and if the EU
asks we will say
NO
Extending
the transition would simply ptrolong business uncertainty and delay
the moment when we
CONTROL OUR OWN BORDERS
'UK business
needs to know what the future trading arrangements will be. It comes
after the International Monetary Fund called for the UK and EU not
'to add to uncertainty caused by coronavirus by insisting on keeping
the current transition timetable
But No 10 said Britain
needed to be able to put its own rules in place to deal with issues such as
coronavirus, rather than being hidebound by EU regulations. Kristalina Georgieva
managing director of the IMF, had told the BBC
[BRUSSELS

that because
of the 'unprecedented uncertainty' arising from the virus pandemic,
it would be 'wise not to add more on top of it'.
'I really hope all
policymakers everywhere would be thinking about [reducing uncertainty.]
It is tough as it is,
lets not make it any tougher,' she said, Asked if she would advise an extension
to trade talks, Mrs Georgieva said: ,My advice would be to seek ways in which
this element of uncertainty is reduced in the interests of everybody, the UK,
the EU, and the whole world .
[Well!- going ahead with
BREXIT
after it has been delayed for almost five years is in
our opinion removing any uncertainty -without a doubt.
The IMF has a suspect past and should be replaced post
haste under a coming new freedom loving and peace loving
NEW WORLD.]
The UK and EU have announced a curtailed timetable to
carry out three negotiation rounds by video conference
on Monday.
But Britain's chief
Brexit envoy David Frost, has already told his EU counterpart, Michel Barnier,
that the UK has ruled out extending the talks into next year. Any extension
would trigger demands ftrom Brussels for
BILLIONS IN CASH
to help
Eurozone countries hard
hit by the virus. If the UK and EU cannot agree a deal, we will trade on
WORLD TRADE ORGANISATION
TERMS
from the beginning of
2021.
