Yesterday, at various National Trust properties, Easter bank holiday crowds did what they always do: paid their entrance fees, strolled in rigorously maintained gardens, admired views, gawped at the great houses of the past and, afterwards, munched on slices of sticky cake in the tea rooms.

Then there was a chance for a little light browsing in ye gift shoppe, with its various Trust-branded trinkets. Was it a novelty tea towel for you this time or a packet of those Beatrix Potter notelets? Amazing how quickly you can go through £100 or more on a family day out, isn’t it?

At the Trust-run Corfe Castle, Dorset, the Wolfshead Bowmen offered archery demonstrations. There was egg rolling at Devil’s Dyke, Sussex, and duck racing at Montacute House in Somerset.

And various Trust venues were taking part in Cadbury’s chocolate egg hunts — an interestingly commercial touch for a charity, but there we are. Everyone loves an Easter egg hunt. 

In general, we have a bucolic vista of bank holiday bliss, somehow terribly British, and made all the more special by the good weather.

A trip to a National Trust property can mix historical learning and class curiosity, family jollification with that little glow of sensing that you are supporting a charity that occupies an unusually benevolent place in the nation’s heart.

But for how much longer will that be how we think of the Trust? For how much longer will the familiar Trust sticker in your car window summon ideas of genteel conservatism and agreeable days out in a Downton Abbeyish haze?

For this weekend, the Trust’s director-general, Dame Helen Ghosh, gave an ill-advised interview. Dame Helen declared that the Trust intends to become far more political — with a small ‘p’, she claimed, though that may be a lot trickier than she imagines — on the fraught subject of global warming.

The 59-year-old Dame Helen, who used to be a Whitehall Permanent Secretary (i.e. one of the ‘Sir Humphreys’, or in her case, ‘Dame Humphreys’, who run our Civil Service), did not spell out quite how she intended the Trust to become more eco-active. Yet there was talk of it meeting half of its energy needs from green sources such as wind, solar and hydroelectricity. Good grief. Does she intend to build lots of dams?

She’s keen on energy from burning biomass, too (anything but fossil fuels and definitely no fracking), even though that means importing boatloads of wood pellets from North America, where entire forests are cleared for the purpose. It doesn’t sound the greenest policy to me.

There was mention of a ‘ten-year strategy’ — ten-year plans are long the hallmark of Leftist administrators — to improve the environmental audits at Trust properties. Pretty clearly, this means that Dame Helen’s Trust intends to be much more aggressive about wind farms and filling fields with banks of those hideous solar panels.

There is also a suspicion that she intends to use the Trust’s mass membership muscle (it currently has some four million subscribers) in a political way, either by urging members to write to politicians or by engaging professional lobbyists to press for certain government policies.

Dame Helen singled out her concern about coastal erosion. She noted that the Trust is a leading owner of Britain’s coastline and she was worried that great lumps of it keep collapsing into the sea. Er, right. How does this Queen Canute intend to stop that happening?

She also fretted that the absence of ‘crisp, cold winters’ means little bugs such as silverfish are no longer being killed off in stately homes and are eating the carpets. It is possible Trust members will soon be chewing the carpets themselves if this once-apolitical body suddenly turns into a twee version of Friends of the Earth.

In general, I am irritated by people who say ‘I told you so’ but, at this point, I need to say it myself. I told you Dame Helen was going to be trouble.

In 2013, when she had been at the Trust a few months, I forecast in these pages that her dubious record in Whitehall suggested a plodder who was a swallower of received wisdoms. I suggested it was likely that she would try to impose metropolitan-elite political concerns on this old and revered institution.

At Westminster, there were doubts about her appreciation for agriculture and rural concerns. I reported the comment of one former government minister that Dame Helen was ‘more at home in court shoes than gum boots’.

Having seen her in action in select committees at Parliament, I was not convinced by her presentational or intellectual abilities. Her lamentable record in various Whitehall departments had left her regarded as a ‘Lady Calamity’, rather than a top-notch brain. I predicted that if she did indeed press ahead with the sort of politically correct obsessions held by bien pensants, there could be repercussions.
The politicisation of the Trust has already started. Visit its website, and you soon find yourself being urged to badger local councils about their planning proposals. 

There would be trouble from Westminster politicians who might feel that she was getting too big for her dainty heels, and there would be trouble from the broadly small-c conservative Trust membership.

Soon after she arrived, there was an infantile advertising campaign with notices erected in the grounds of National Trust properties: ‘Please do touch the trees — or even hug them!’ and ‘Reserved for fun and games’. 

For her first couple of years at the Trust, however, Dame Helen managed to keep a lowish profile. That was, in part, because the Trust had a first-class chairman in Sir Simon Jenkins, an effective public face for the Trust who knew his way around the corridors of power.

Sir Simon was a vehement critic of wind farms, arguing that they were a) economically useless, and b) a blot on the landscape and on seascapes. Not everyone in the Trust’s hierarchy was pleased with Sir Simon for taking this trenchant view.

Some of the organisation’s highly-paid, Blairish executives (there is a whole class of them on six-figure salaries — not bad for a charity) were irked that the Trust chairman was refusing to swallow the Establishment line about climate change.

But now Sir Simon’s stint has come to an end, and he has been succeeded by a less prominent figure: Tim Parker, a former Treasury economist and chairman of Samsonite suitcases.

Dame Helen may now fancy her chances of telling this chairman what to do. (When Sir Simon was there, it was the other way round.) Her interview was very much the behaviour of an executive with an expansionist agenda.

Dame Helen argued that climate change was a legitimate part of the Trust’s concerns as a charity because it ‘strikes at the heart of what our charitable purpose asks us to do’.

But what, exactly, is that purpose? Is it to conserve the landscape? If so, how do wind farms chime with that? Is it to preserve rural/agricultural values? A field full of solar panels rather than, say, cabbages, seems a strange way to go about that. 

Or is the point of the National Trust to create and maintain tourist destinations? That is probably how it is understood by the majority of Britons.

How would such a function sit alongside increased political activity — using Trust funds to employ schmoozers and lawyers in the lobbying world? I strongly suspect that if people knew that was how the Trust intended to use its money, they would stop donating quite so generously.

The politicisation of the Trust has already started. Visit its website, and you soon find yourself being urged to badger local councils about their planning proposals.

You are also soon linked to various organisations, which, to the layperson, might seem odd company for the National Trust: outfits such as the minority ethnic democracy group Voice4Change and the busybody National Association of Local Councils. Dame Helen can’t abide the idea that the National Trust membership is middle-class.

Charities need to beware of politicisation. You only have to look at the sorry example of the RSPCA, a once-loved charity that has besmirched itself with its blatantly political stance on field sports, to see how a charity can ‘trash its brand’.

The National Trust is obviously about more than scones and keyrings. But a National Trust that allows its director-general to politicise it by proselytising for wind farms might quickly find that its public support dries up faster than the Aral Sea in Kazakhstan — the fastest shrinking lake in the world.

Short of striding over the fells yourself, the best way to experience and understand the joy of the Lake District is through the writing of Alfred Wainwright, a man who knew the area better than anybody.

In his final book before his death in 1991, he wrote about the redevelopment of Thirlmere reservoir 130 years ago: ‘Manchester Corporation and the Forestry Commission have been the greatest predators in Lakeland over the past century.

‘They were not welcome intruders, both being strongly opposed by conservationists and lovers of the district. They have done much to destroy the original character of the scenery, and done little to enhance its natural charm.

‘Enough has been more than enough. But it must be conceded that a hundred years of maturity have added a new attractiveness to the Thirlmere valley, best appreciated when viewed from a distance. In the case of Thirlmere, all is forgiven.’

In this characteristically blunt assessment, Wainwright is conveying two things: first, that as it stands the Thirlmere reservoir is just about perfect; and second, that he was profoundly suspicious of those who sought to ‘improve’ his beloved Lakes by importing new ideas into an ancient landscape.

 

What on earth, then, would he make of the latest proposals to criss-cross Thirlmere reservoir with eight zip wire rides? 

What on earth, then, would he make of the latest proposals to criss-cross the lake with eight zip wire rides? I’d wager he wouldn’t be at the front of the queue to have the first aerial ride across.

My view is that the developers behind the plan must be stopped from turning this idyllic corner of England into a funfair. Whatever next, a merry-go-round on the top of Helvellyn, dodgems between Buttermere and Crummock Water, and a coconut shy on top of the highest mountain in England?

If they manage to force on us the idea that the Lake District is in need of flashy ‘attractions’, then we will lose the area as it has been treasured, nurtured and used for over two centuries.

The biggest threat comes from Treetop Trek. This is the outdoors adventure company behind efforts to build eight of the longest zip wire rides in the UK right across the majestic Thirlmere reservoir. Thankfully, a last-minute objection lodged by Natural England citing the ‘significant adverse effect’ on the area may yet save us from this monstrosity.

We can only hope something similar happens at Honister Slate Mine. There, the owners have lodged a third bid to build a zip wire after being rejected by the Lake District National Park Authority in 2011 and 2013.

Why this obsession with trying to enhance the appeal of the Lake District? It is already the second greatest visitor attraction in England. It is garlanded with international awards for its beauty and its natural values. Above all, it is a place where tranquillity of mind and body can be sought and found.

Equally for young people, rock-climbing, kayaking and other sports have been, and continue to be, a magnetic attraction without benefit of any funfair intrusions.

It is not too strong to say that the Lake District is facing an act of vandalism. We have been quite good at vandalism in this country. 

Henry VIII vandalised what were thought of as some of the most beautiful and extraordinary monasteries in Europe. 
 

Whatever next, a merry-go-round on the top of Helvellyn, dodgems between Buttermere and Crummock Water, and a coconut shy on top of the highest mountain in England?

Councillors in the 20th century vandalised town and city centres — such as Newcastle, hugely praised by John Betjeman — which showed the magnificence of Victorian civic architecture and if left alone would themselves have become world attractions by now.

If you take all that matters out of the Lake District, then it ceases to be the quietly spectacular place which gives it such lustre and satisfaction to so many people of all ages. We do not need to be teased into the Lake District by methods more suitable to seaside resorts. I loved going to the seaside as a child, especially to Blackpool and Morecambe just down the road from the Lakes.

But there’s a sort of madness in saying that the Lake District has to take on their nature. It has its own nature.

Tranquillity is more valued now than ever. Millions of us over the years have found deep and resonating satisfaction among the 300 fells (or hills); the majesty of Derwentwater, Windermere and Ullswater; the countless meres and tarns; the stunning waterfalls, just one of the Lake District’s endless geological marvels.

As Coleridge said over 200 years ago, to walk up any fell is to see a new prospect every few yards.

It is here that we see the work of farmers over centuries with their great network of stone walls. They, together with generous landowners, have put a human shape on what was thought 300 years ago to be a savage wilderness.

And yet it is not by any means the bustling Toytown these developers want to make it. I have been on walks on bank holidays and met no more than two or three other ramblers.

I can look over valleys which stretch towards the sea and seem empty, save for a few cottages and perhaps a church which indicate the life which has so long sustained this place.

Over 200 years ago, thanks largely to Wordsworth, it came into the drawing rooms of Bath and London, and into the imagination of poets in other parts of Europe as a place which stood for a new idea, a radical fresh understanding of who we were.

It was in the Lake District —alongside one or two other places in Europe — that the idea was developed that nature was not an enemy to be fought or something like a slave to be worked to death, but a force that we could feel if we listened closely enough.

From that feeling grew an understanding which spread around the world, that we could feed off nature not only for our daily bread, but for other inner riches.

In four short lines, Wordsworth put forward this new philosophy:

One impulse from a vernal wood

May teach you more of man

Of moral evil and of good

Than all the sages can.

In short, to be in accord with nature was a way towards a better, finer life.

And when I’m up there roaming around, I see kids clambering over rocks or chattering their way down the streets of little villages, or rowing across lakes.

Zip wires and all the fun of the fair might bring to some a bit of temporary excitement, but it would absolutely destroy for most of us the unique peacefulness of this place.

It is full of infinite small charms, pathways, scarcely trodden valleys. And it also has an undoubted magnificence which anyone with a heart thrills to.

I remember cycling to the Lake District from nearby Wigton, where I grew up, with a couple of pals when I was about 14, and being taken with it immediately. We swam in the freezing Bassenthwaite Lake and tried to make a fire with damp sticks.

We were unaware that three poets laureate had been guests in a modest house in the woods beside that lake. We had no idea the vikings had come here and that there had been the cell of a miracle-making hermit called Bega, whose presence long ago is marked by a small Church.

We did not know that once that lake had been linked with Derwentwater a few miles down the valley to make one vast lakeland holding. And that nearby the idea of rambling for pleasure had developed among factory workers, intellectuals and poets who saw it as an inspiration and a sanctuary.
Why on earth should we let commercial wreckers spoil it? 

Soon afterwards, we started going round the youth hostels, tried to climb in the spot where the sport of mountaineering was invented and got to know this English masterpiece of freedom.

It had its own language once. I have a dictionary of Cumbrian words which is full and fat. Many of them have drifted into disuse, but still you can hear the dialect in the core of the Lake District

One more thing. Wherever you walk in the Lakes people say ‘Hello’. They are pleased to be there. They are pleased that other people are there. They feel it is theirs to go through at the natural pace of human kind — on foot.

Above all, they feel safe in the undisturbed peace of it all. A sense of quietness and dignity which reaches back tens of thousands of years. They come in their millions and love the Lake District as it is.

Why on earth should we let commercial wreckers spoil it?

If this article makes you angry how can you argue that Multiculturalism is not designed to polarize society?

This is banned but separation is not

Multiculturalism is the policy of encouraging the separate development of several cultures within a nation state. It is not about having Curry Houses and Balti restaurants, these just make for a varied national culture, it is not about hip hop or the Chinese New Year, multiculturalism is about encouraging people from different backgrounds to develop separately from the rest of society. Multiculturalism is not about diversity, it is a political movement with a clear and deliberate policy of deconstructing national cultures in favour of many separate cultures. It is a sad truth that 90% of those who say they support multiculturalism are actually anti-racist and pro-diversity: they have got no idea that when they say they support "multiculturalism" they are supporting a subversive political and philosophical movement within Western countries. It is probably the support of this ignorant faction that has allowed Multiculturalism, which is another word for "separate development" (in Afrikaans 'apartheid'), to become so embedded in Britain.

 

 

Multiculturalism in Britain was a policy implemented by New Labour with the intention of creating a revolutionary tension and change in society. It was a Soviet policy that was released in instruction packs distributed to the various, subversive, university "socialist societies" in the nineteen seventies, at the height of the Cold War. The policy was intended to destabilise the West. (See The Roots of New Labour). It failed in its primary objective because the British are a tolerant culture. It is amazing that British journalists, especially in the television media and BBC, have supported this policy with such zeal although this is probably due to the fact that many of these individuals also have roots in the British left wing movements of the 1970s and that multiculturalism is now seen as an 'answer' to how to accommodate nationalities within political unions such as the EU, Russian Empire and Chinese Empire.

Multiculturalism was more fully characterised in the work of the philosopher Jacques Derrida who proposed that the polarization of society should be an objective of social policy. Derrida was a malevolent force in modern philosophy whose ideas were largely designed to damage social structures. Curiously governments have permitted the appointment of post Marxist post modernists who support the ideas of Derrida to chairs in sociology and education in western universities so that social policy is now being guided by many people who believe that the objective of social policy should be the destruction of a structured society.  Political commentators have not realised that socialism now relies on racial tension, not class war, to exacerbate political difference and create conflict (see Postmodernism-poststructuralism-postmarxism).

Apart from the obvious ill-effects of polarising people into ghettoes and opposing groups Multiculturalism also has some serious adverse effects that result from the fact that almost all non-western cultures have not undergone the changes that result from exposure to the Enlightenment and the Age of Reason. Examples of the adverse effects of multiculturalism are: failure to identify with society at large, socialising solely with your co-religionists so depriving others in the neighbourhood of society, supporting the caste system and caste attitudes so that the poor are kept poor, excluding people from outside your culture from work, girls wearing restrictive clothing in school so that they cannot participate in the full range of lessons, forced marriage, setting up schools to teach Intelligent Design or Koranic ideas on biology so depriving children of a truthful education, supporting foreign powers against your own country so endangering our security etc. All of these adverse effects of multiculturalism and many, many more are evident in British life. The socialist elite argues that separate cultures within the UK should be encouraged to exercise these "freedoms" but each freedom that is encouraged within a separate culture deprives the whole of British society of other freedoms. Those who support multiculturalism generally just deny that these adverse effects will occur but some, such as the effects of restrictive clothing in young girls and the effects of a caste system etc. are simply inevitable because they are in the nature of those "freedoms".

Multicultural policies are apparent in a variety of institutions and exist wherever the intention is to increase the polarization and separation of people rather than to reduce it. The teaching of history in British schools has been heavily infiltrated and oriented towards polarization, for instance British children are taught about slavery and colonisation rather than about emancipation and the explosive development of European states in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They are taught about the US Civil Rights movement, which has nothing to do with the British but upsets black people, rather than the peaceful decolonisation of much of the British Empire. They are taught about the persecution of the Jews rather than the heroic struggle of the British and the global British cultural zone against the Germans, Russians and their allies that saved the Jews. Some of the legislation that treats groups of people as minorities and victims also polarizes society. The recent extensions to Equalities legislation in the Equalities Act that outlaw political discussion about belief are also designed to polarize society.

The social tension caused by multiculturalism must now be repaired and wholesale immigration into the UK, which is already overcrowded, must be stopped (See The benefits of immigration to the UK economy). Multiculturalism has already caused the outbreaks of terrorism associated with Londonistan (many of the 9/11 terrorists stayed in the UK and the 7/7 terrorists were British) and will lead to worse problems as time goes on.

The coalition government has taken a sensible stand against multiculturalism (see State multiculturalism has failed, says David Cameron). The government should be supported in this stand and the New Labour appointed BBC governors and current affairs staff should be quietly removed to prevent the distorted coverage of the issue. Governments should oppose both institutional multiculturalism and institutional racism because apartheid is both a cause and a symptom of racism.

Many races in one culture is workable and may be desirable but separating the races into cultural ghettos will polarise society and cause perpetual strife, though not a full blown revolution and totalitarian government, as the originators of multiculturalism once hoped. It is time to finally cauterise the damage done to the social fabric of Britain by the Cold War and to move on to realist, liberal politics.

Multiculturalism has recently been adopted by those who are in favour of large scale political unions such as the EU as a desperate approach to the problem of the free movement of labour and how to contain multiple nationalities within a single state. This problem could be resolved by simply unwinding the EU back to the EEC without the destructive effects of multiculturalism.

If we continue with Multiculturalism we will end up with tribalism with all that that entails from corruption to nepotism to gangs, riots and terrorism.

The whole point of a modern nation with one culture was to stop these evils. Nations are the unit of cultural diversity and this must be respected.

The story starts about 45,000 years ago. There was a planet in an orbit closer to the sun than Jupiter. Many call this planet Maldek, Mars was it’s largest moon. Most all of the people on Earth died as there was a flash freeze in the new polar areas, killing a lot of animals too. In 2021 our 3rd cycle will finish and positive soul groups get to move up to the 2nd realm, 5th dimension (4th density). We are in the 1st realm, 4th dimension (3rd density) now. So we must get the Illuminati out of power and turn positive, to move up to 4th density. A soul can either go through 1 cycle of 3rd or 4th density (or some of both) and make ascension to 5th density (12th dimension on Earth). If we get in 4th density life improves, our bodies will be a little better and matter a little different, the biggest change is another component of time. It is funny reading how the JEWS do not like being criticized for being JEWS.

I don’t buy into the “good Jews” and “bad Jews” argument.  Those that do not wish to go along with the JEWISH SH＃T SCUM in the world should act accordingly and stop calling themselves JEWISH.

Of course you will not have the guts to print this because you are part of the system.

JEWS are a cancer upon this world.  Any group that has been shunned from every country on Earth for over 2,000 years should by now realise that they are doing something wrong.

First of all, I do not consider myself to be Jewish.  I am a human being from the planet earth—that is all.  I simply point out that according to their definition, I am one of them.

In the case of Jewish people, one awful risk they face, which apparently is largely unseen by many of them, is the Zionists.  The Zionists are the Jewish mafia, and it is apparent to me that they are hiding behind the Jewish religion as a front for their activities.

This places Jewish people in a terrible position of “shield.”  And in order for an entire people to serve as that shield, they often express strong belief in support of the Zionists, apparently not understanding that in no way does Zionism serve the Jewish religion.  I don’t think Italians have anywhere near this level of identification with their captors.

Just a thought.  As a friend to all people, I find this situation very aggravating, as any negative criticism of Zionism very often incites attacks decrying “anti-Semitism.”  (As you pointed out, a misnomer.)  Actually, most people identifying with Judaism today have nothing to do with Semites.  They’re effectively Khazarians filtered through European bloodlines.

Hello Benjamin:

I am a subscriber and appreciate your contribution to current events.  However, I am disturbed that today for the second time in a short period you have seen fit to include quotes from sources that use the term “Jewish” in a way that seems inaccurate and incendiary.  I know there is indeed a Jewish mafia.  But there is also an Italian mafia, and their behavior doesn’t get tied to their religion.

I appreciate your use of the term Khazarian, for example.

Yes, I am Jewish… a truth seeker… and very unhappy with Zionism, the situation in Israel, the treatment of Palestinians, and rationalization of such treatment.  I agree the cabal and all of its engines need to be eliminated.

I am very happy to see the pedophile and sexual predator nightmare getting unveiled.

But just because so-called Jewish names are so easily identifiable, it is important to resist the superficial conclusion that having a Jewish name is part of the true problem.  Let’s resolve to find the true roots of all of this sickness and change our world to leave that sickness behind.

I appreciate your use of the term “pseudo-Jewish” as well.

First of all, please understand that my mother’s mother was Jewish and my father’s mother is Jewish, so technically that makes me Jewish, too, although I do not like the word Jew, which was created in the 17th century.  My family was never ruled by the Torah or Talmud, but were atheists and thus forced to live within the ghettos in order to survive.

In any case, the reason “Jewish” appeared in that context in my report was because it was in a quote, and I felt it important to convey to readers the thinking of this source.

I have repeatedly explained to would-be anti-Semites (“Semite” is also a problematic term since it includes Arabs) that just because most members of the Mafia are Italian, it does not mean most Italians are Mafiosi.  In the same way, while Jewish gangsters are all Jewish, most Jews are not gangsters.

Trust me, there is no way we will allow for innocent people to be hurt because of the actions of a few high-level criminals.

Do you still insist there is a coalition between Russia and the USA fighting against ISIS in Syria?  Every serious news talks about the war crimes the USA has been committing in Syria.  Just take the recent bombing of Rakka and murdering of many innocent civilians.  Or news claiming the Americans are saving senior ISIS leaders and taking them away from Deir es Zor at night together with their families.  Or killing Russian General Asapov by the American spetsnaz.  There has been no such thing as Russian-American coalition in the Middle East, unless you accept the fact the American army is badly split into the good guys and the bad guys, which is extremely dangerous.  What do you say?

It is a sad truth that Western mercenary armies working for oil companies and the Zionists have been doing very bad things in Syria and the region.  The fact is the U.S. is bankrupt and needs to keep stealing oil in order to survive.

However, the people at the top of the U.S. military are now trying to do the right thing in my view, and at the very least they are determined not to let the Khazarians start World War 3.

The U.S. military did tell me they had a deal that Russia’s zone of influence was supposed to be to the west of the Euphrates and the American zone to the east of the Euphrates.  I guess they felt the Russians broke that deal when they crossed east of the river.  However, it is also a fact that the Americans are breaking international law by being in Syria in the first place.

I think a big meeting will be needed to determine once and for all how to divide up the oil and gas in the region.  Also, of course, the rogue state of Israel needs to be forced to give up their plans for creating a greater Israel and instead do what international society has been asking them to do since 1967, and that is to reach a permanent peace deal with the Palestinians.

Summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un Being Negotiated as Khazarian Mafia Attempts to Start War Fail

The Khazarian mafia’s rule by murder, blackmail, bribery, and propaganda is being systematically dismantled in ways that can no longer be denied.  These fanatics, who wish to force human history down a path to destruction based on ancient books, have failed yet again in recent efforts to start World War 3.  This was seen in North Korea, in Kurdistan, and in Iran as their increasingly desperate gambits are checked at every corner.

In the case of Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump was threatened and blackmailed into renouncing the nuclear deal with Iran, but facing opposition from the military as well as top allies, all that Trump could do was to appease the Khazarians with bellicose rhetoric.  Even Trump’s rhetoric was met with a statement by the leaders of top U.S. allies the UK, Germany, and France contradicting Trump’s claims that Iran was breaking the nuclear deal.

The statement read in part that the deal “was unanimously endorsed by the UN Security Council in Resolution 2231.  The International Atomic Energy Agency has repeatedly confirmed Iran’s compliance with the JCPoA through its long-term verification and monitoring programme.”

In other words, they were telling Trump not to start a war based on lies.  This is something I have never seen the like of in many years of watching diplomatic statements.

POINT BY POINT, HER BLUEPRINT TO FREE BRITAIN FROM BRUSSELS
THERESA May delighted Eurosceptics yesterday with an ambitious road map for BREXIT. The PM extended the hand of friendship to the EU but threatened to walk away if BRUSSELS tried to impose a punitive deal. Jack DOYLE sets out her 12 objectives and analyses her chances of success.

1. CERTAINTY

 WHAT SHE SAID

We will provide certainty where we can. The same rules and laws will apply on the day after BREXIT, as they did before. And the Government will put the final deal to a vote in both houses of Parliament.

CAN SHE DELIVER

By keeping in place-at least initially-all EU laws, Mrs May will provide a degree of continuity and confidence for business. However, as she freely admits she cannot control the outcome of the negotiations. Parliament is highly likely to approve any deal because the alternative will be a chaotic BREXIT.

2. OUR OWN LAWS

We will take back control of our laws and bring an end to the jurisdiction of the European Court of Justice in Britain. Because we will not truly left the EU if we are not in control of our own laws

A stronger Britain demands that we strengthen the precious union between the four nations of the UK.

By consulting devolved administrations, Mrs May is seeking to reassure voters in the nations of the UK which didn't vote for Brexit that she is listening to their concerns, and avoid Nicola Sturgeon calling for a second independence vote.

WE will work to deliver a practical solution that allows the maintenance of the Common Travel Area with the Republic, while protecting the integrity of the United Kingdom's immigration system.

Both countries want to maintain the open border between Northern Ireland and the Republic without opening a back door into Britain. Likely to mean UK border checks at Irish ports and airports.

5. CONTROL OF IMMIGRATION

The message from the public before and during the referendum campaign was clear: BREXIT must mean control of the number of people who come to Britain from Europe. And that is what we will deliver

Ending free movement is a  RED LINE, but Mrs May left open when it will end, what system will replace it and details of any transition deal. The PM wants highly skilled EU migrants, doctors and nurses, but will she compromise on unskilled migrants to get a better trade deal

WHAT SHE SAID

We  want to guarantee the right of EU citizens who are already living here in Britain, and the rights of British nationals in other member states, as early as we can.

Likely to agreed early on, as long as the EU doesn't want to haggle. Last year Mrs May offered to settle on the rights of three million EU nationals in the UK, and 1.2million Brits on the continent in advance of formals talks- but Angela Merkel refused.

 WHAT SHE SAID

Not only will the government protect the rights of workers' set out in European legislation, we will build on them.

CAN SHE DELIVER

Mrs May is determined to at least preserve protections for workers on low and middle incomes-many of whom voted for BREXIT. Could come under threat if there is no deal., and Britain slashes taxes and regulation to attract business.

8. TRADE WITH EUROPE

WHAT SHE SAID

As a priority, we will pursue a bold and ambitious free trade agreement with the EU. This should allow for the freest possible trade in goods and services. But I want to make it clear. It cannot mean membership of the single market

CAN SHE DELIVER

The crux of the negotiation. Britain will leave the single market, and with it EU laws and free movement. Instead Mrs May wants a tariff-free trade and customs agreement to stop goods being held up at ports. She ruled out ' vast contributions' to the EU budget, and the only money going to Brussels will be for particular programmes and agencies like Europol. Her huge gamble is to threaten to walk away if the EU attempts to punish Britain

9. GLOBAL TRADE

 WHAT SHE SAID

A global Britain must be free to strike trade agreements with countries outside the EU too. But I also want tariff-free trade with Europe and cross-border trade there to be as frictionless as possible.

Mrs May wants deals with non-EU countries including the US. That would be impossible from inside the customs union, which imposes a uniform tariff on all non-EU countries. It would also make trade Secretary Liam Fox's job redundant.

10. SCIENCE AND INNOVATION

 WHAT SHE SAID

WE have a proud history of leading and supporting cutting -edge research and innovation. So we will also welcome agreement to continue to collaborate with our European partners on major science, research, and technology initiatives.

Unlikely to be an obstacle to any deal. Much collaboration between academics takes place outside formal EU structures and will continue unimpeded.

11. CRIME AND TERRORISM

  WHAT SHE SAID

All of us in Europe face the challenge of cross-border crime, a deadly terrorist threat, and the dangers presented by hostile states.  All of us share interests and values in common, values we want to see projected around the world.

Security and intelligence cooperation and defence cooperation cannot be a formal bargaining chip, but without making it one, Mrs May reminds EU allies of Britain's importance as an ally in fighting terrorism and important status as a military power.

12.  A SMOOTH EXIT

  WHAT SHE SAID

It is in no one's interests for there to be a cliff-edge for business or a threat to stability as we change from our existing relationship to a new partnership with the European Union.

Mrs May wants tranitional arrangements to smooth the process of leaving the EU with specific deals on budget contributions, immigration, trade and customs lasting different periods of time. Securing this as well as securing a final deal within two years is a huge task.

AT LAST, IT IS ALL CLEAR FOR

 BREXIT'S

LIFT-OFF

 

YESTERDAY  was a HISTORIC DAY for OUR COUNTRY. BY a RESOUNDING MAJORITY of 384, the COMMONS swept away [our  past 45 years of tutelage within an undemocratic-unaccountable-unbearable-corrupt-expensive- strait-jacket Europe.]

 

THIS was a historic day for our country. At 7.30pm yesterday by a resounding majority of 384, the Commons swept away the last serious obstacle to freeing Britain from the chains that have bound us to an unelected, unaccountable Brussels for 45 YEARS.

True, we can still expect dirty tricks from the 114 who, to their shame, voted  against implementing the

PEOPLE'S WILL.

Of these , this newspaper will not waste ink on cursing SNP members, whose fantasies of SCOTLAND as an independent EU nation state gave them a spurious excuse for defying the UK majority.

AS for the rest, no criticism is too harsh for those Labour MPs who represent solidly Brexiteer constituencies, but voted to

REMAIN.

They deserve everything coming to them at the next election.

So, too, do the creeps who in 2015 backed the call for a binding referendum, but voted last night against implementing its result.

Among these, none can beat the monstrous hypocrisy of

NICK CLEGG

-that flip-flopping representative of the moneyed elite, suckled on the [thirsty] breast of Brussels.

Faced with the possible imposition (illegally) of a E. U. Constitution this  article contemplating our own U.K. Constitution (English Constitution), is especially topical.

Constitutional Principles of Power and Remedy.

The Constitution is specifically intended, indeed designed to limit the powers of the state with respect to the people. The Constitution sets a standard upon which the performance of governance may be measured and contested and to provide remedy if abused.

The whole constitution originates its authority from

COMMON LAW

Supremacy resides in the

LAW and PEOPLE

NOT THE

CROWN or PARLIAMENT.

It is a matter of constitutional principle and legal fact that,

THE LAW IS SUPREME

The rule of law is the antithesis of arbitrary power. Integral with this, is the system of jury trial. It places the power of law enforcement in the

HANDS of the PEOPLE.

This the most vital safeguard against DESPOTISM.

The English Constitution's function is to

PROTECT the

"RIGHTS and LIBERTIES

 of ENGLISHMEN".

These are the 'BIRTHRIGHT' of the PEOPLE'

[In 2016 one can see how successive governments have by gradualism watered down these rights with even attempts to replace jury trial by trial by judge only on the grounds of speed and saving resources. The people in the main have been, amiss in not being vigilant to the protection of THEIR CONSTITUTION. In just a few weeks on the 23 June,2016 they have a choice whether to vote to leave the EU and regain THEIR LAW-THEIR CONSTITUTION-THEIR FREE COUNTRY. or REMAIN in an ALIEN COLLECTIVIST AND CORRUPT UNDEMOCRATIC EU with NO PROTECTION of MAGNA CARTA of 1215 and BILL OF RIGHTS of 1688 and NO ENGLISHMAN'S ' RIGHTS and LIBERTIES' to be passed on to FUTURE GENERATIONS.]

The fundamental rights and liberties are listed in the preamble of the Coronation Oath Act of 1688 which declares that  the oath is taken for the purpose of

" Maintaining our spiritual and civil rights and properties"

It is a contract with the people which makes it the permanent duty of the CROWN, and the CROWN in both GOVERNMENT and PARLIAMENT.

This contracts the Monarch to govern only according to the STATUTE, COMMON LAW, and the CUSTOM and to 'CAUSE LAW and JUSTICE with MERCY to be used in all JUDGEMENTS'.

All power of governance is vested in the CROWN.

The two Houses of Parliament may upon their concurrence offer bills for ROYAL ASSENT.

A BILL is not ENACTED until it has been authorised by the SOVEREIGN POWER.

Whilst the enacting power (a royal prerogative) of Royal Assent is entirely vested with the monarch it is contracted ONLY TO BE USED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTITUTIONAL LAW.  This is a limitation and essential safeguard to protect the people from any over mighty governance  [such as Tony Blair's and Gordon Brown's NEW LABOUR and since DAVE'S PARTY]

 It was used  to defeat the Divine Right of Kings; a claim of absolute power by the Stuart monarchs.  The OATH ascertains the SUPREMACY of the LAW, not the supremacy of CROWN or of PARLIAMENT.

There is certainly no Divine Right of Politicians.

The Coronation contract is of the Crown owing allegiance to the Constitution. The PEOPLE give ALLEGIANCE to the CROWN.

Here is a system of mutual protection for there is a constitutional interdependence.

The MAGNA CARTA

made provision for the PEOPLE to use ANY MEANS including FORCE if the CROWN is found to be in BREACH.

THE RIGHT OF RESISTANCE IS THE ULTIMATE REMEDY...

That which constitutionally binds the Monarch is a restriction upon Her Majesty, Her Government and all Parliamentary power.  The Monarch may do no wrong, but should she refuse by her negative power( the right to withhold assent) to

'LET WRONG BE DONE.'

[Millions of patriots have been waiting over four decades for:-

'Right to be Done!']

Sir William Blackstone confirms this. Whilst the monarch accepts the advice of ministers, they must only advise to do that which COMPLIES with the CONSTITUTION.  Plainly NO MONARCH is FREE to ASSENT to ADVICE that CONFLICTS with the CONSTITUTION in FORCE.

There is no authority in Parliament to pass any power of governance in England to those who hold or owe no allegiance. [such as the EU]

 There is no constitutional authority for Parliament to deliberately breach the constitutional laws by new   conflicting enactment.

 There is a natural duty resulting from the logic of our constitutional law to debate and resolve conflicts, if necessary by prior repeal.

 We must put an end to this form of 'legal' abuse, particularly through the misapplication of party politics.

 Most but not all of our constitution is written:- the Magna Carta, the Petition of Rights, the Declaration of Rights, the Bill of Rights, the Act of Settlement and the Acts of Union etc. It has evolved over centuries with the expenditure of much blood. It has been abused and corrected many times. It was finally settled by the Glorious Revolution of 1688/9.

The Judicial function is to be the independent arbiter between party and party or party and government under the terms of our constitutional law.  The courts are bound to declare upon the constitutionality of an Act where it may prove to be an action of unconstitutional governance. The great examples of the Magna Carta, the Petition 1628, the Declaration & the Bill of Rights 1688/9 make this duty of the court utterly plain.

Judgement may only be given in accordance with the constraints of constitutional laws in force.  At all times the presumption of law and justice in mercy be upheld and used  in all judgements. This is the trust sand the pre-eminent public policy reposed in the judiciary.

The right of petition to the Monarch is an appeal direct to the source of power, the Monarch is under OATH and at LAW, bound to provide REMEDY. Where there are RIGHTS there are REMEDIES. Politicians and Parliament must abide by the terms of reference and DUTY to the CONSTITUTION.

A fixed and certain standard with protection and remedy are the true purpose of the Constitution.

WE MUST RECLAIM OUR CONSTITUTION AND THE RULE OF LAW FROM THE SUPPOSED DIVINE RIGHT OF OUR POLITICIANS.

Where corruption has been demonstrated in respect of pro curing the treaty in the first place, or in respect of any dimension of its implementation, the European Commission (EC) permits and is associated with corruption on a monumental scale, which the EU authorities have tried to cover up with declining success.

Edward Heath.
