Is humiliating our security servivces the latest

Al Qaeda weapon?

 

ONCE may be an accident; twice begins to look like a systematic fault-line. For the second time, the Metropolitan Police and the Security Service have egg all over their faces in the fight against Islamist terrorism.

 

At the weekend, two brothers being held following a tip about a chemical weapon were released without charge after nothing was found in their Forest gate home.

 

This follows the fatal shooting last year of Brazilian electrician Jean Charles de Menezes who police mistook for a suicide bomber.

We don’t yet know who was to blame for that particular fiasco, but leaks of the forthcoming official inquiry suggest serial failure within the MET.

 

Nor do we know what happened at Forest gate. That affair is now clocked in rumour and counter rumour. Some police officers are reported still to believe that there is a chemical weapon somewhere, even it was not where they thought it was.

 

Another report says that before the raid Scotland Yard had serious doubts about the credibility of the MI5 source. Yet another says the original tip-off did not come from an MI5 informer, but from someone who phoned the Met’s ant-terrorist hotline.

 

Debacles

 

What is indisputable, however, is that the police took a house apart in the belief that it contained material connected with a chemical bomb but found nothing- and shot a man by mistake in the process. The damage that has been done, in fomenting both Muslim unrest and public cynicism, is enormous.

 

It is tempting to conclude, from both of these debacles, that the police are simply incompetent, and that the Commissioner Sir Ian Blair [PC arch-activist], has lost the plot. But it may be more complicated than that.

 

One has to ask WHY, when they received the tip-off about Forest gate, both the Police and MI5 were taken in. MI5, it seems, found other evidence that appeared to back it up.

 

It’s possible, of course, that the tip-off did possess a core of truth, even if the Forest gate information was wrong. But it’s also possible that it was not just one duff tip from an informer, but also a much more comprehensive sting designed to lead the Security Services up the garden path.

 

This is because it is a core Al Qaeda strategy to use dissimulation and false trails to confuse its terrorist targets.

[And with a politically-correct regime in place the Met was as a child with a dummy -it had its comforting doctrine in place and didn’t want to let it go and therefore failed to realise it was being taken for a sucker.]

Drawing on the Islamist principle that lies or omissions for the ‘greater good’ of Islam are permissible, Al Qaeda training manuals carry detailed instructions on the use of deception.

 

This includes disinformation n the form of ‘intelligence chatter’, lying during interrogations, the use of systematically misleading expressions concerning Islam and terrorism by Muslim spokesmen- and the issuing of false terrorist threats.

The Al Qaeda manual captured some years ago by the Manchester Police set out the tactic of ‘co-ordinated, cohesive, and integrated measures that are designed to confuse and surprise the enemy’. The aim of sowing such confusion is to produce precisely what is now happening in Britain.

 

The Security Services are humiliated and made to look incompetent, with the result that people increasingly conclude that the terrorist threat is exaggerated. Warnings of the severity of such a threat are thus increasingly disbelieved, and with the nation’s guard lowered it becomes far easier to mount a truly deadly attack.

 

Muslim community sources say that the level of dissimulation being practised to lead the British Security Services astray is sophisticated and extensive.

 

With so few undercover agents in place, MI5 relies very largely on informers -who are used systematically to relay disinformation back to their handlers including apparently random material which

[A classic case during the Second World War when the head of MI5 -Buckmaster failed to act when he was informed from a reliable source that there was a traitor in the camp with the result many British agents [many women] met their death by the Gestapo.

 

There is also the case of the late Edward Heath a traitor for 60 years until his death last year. Was known to MI5 as part of a Nazi Ring in Balliol College Oxford which included Roy Jenkins and Geoffrey Rippon -given away by the College Master [Lindsay] and yet Heath was allowed to work in a vital and secret aircraft construction factory and was suspected of the espionage at the factory which took the live of a brilliant aircraft designer which delayed the flight of new aircraft which some confirmed could have shortened the war.

 

This traitor lied robustly in order to get the Yes vote on the 1975 referendum on the EEC but in substance the future United States of Europe- He only a few years ago admitted that he had lied to the British electorate. -Further details on our Bulletin Board]

 

We have had in the past the numerous cases of traitors in Cambridge University of Communist cells exposed since the Second World War -the latest traitor to be uncovered few years ago was BLUNT - the art-collector and adviser to Her Majesty the Queen

 

We have recently suggested that M15 and MI6 should no longer be allowed to be a law unto themselves. That there should be an impeachable INDEPENDENT Agency to oversee the Security Services to ensure that there is a continuous vetting and oversight of such important agencies for the protection of the people, constitution and country. ]

Nevertheless, within the Intelligence World there seems little understanding of the lengths to which the strategy of deceit is being practised within Islamist circles.

NOW Scotland Yard has let it be known that it had warned MI5 it had doubts about the credibility of the informer before the raid. Which raises the question of why the police went storming into Forest Gate house nevertheless.

[Well! it could be a matter of the British coordinating with events in North America as the populations of those countries are now decidedly sceptical of the REAL terrorist threat -not saying there will not be one- but that the Governments are having to justify their, measures in America -The Patriot Act and in Britain the suspension for a year of Habeas Corpus. And if the Governments can keep the increased threats coming in tandem they hope to continue to justify the curtailment of liberties -which in turn maintains great power to the Governments in Office who wish to seek re-election.]

The answer may lie; in part at least, in a little-noticed development which has dealt a serious blow to the ability of the police to act as corrective if MI5 is led astray. The Special Branch has now been all but disbanded and subsumed into the [PC] Met’s anti -terrorist section.

This process, which started several years ago and was recently completed, resulted from a bureaucratic itch to streamline disparate sections. Rivalry between the Special Branch and MI5, and a dislike of elite units among Met’s top brass.

 

This had two disastrous consequences.

 

FIRST: - was the loss of priceless police expertise, and the recruitment instead of officers with no previous experience of intelligence-led operations.

 

SECOND: - the intelligence gathering function of the Special Branch was DESTROYED.

 

The only people gathering intelligence now are MI5 - and so if MI5 is being fed disinformation, there’s no other source of expertise to challenge it.

MI5 itself, meanwhile, has had a major question mark placed over its own competence since last July’s London bombings, which caught it with its trousers down. So of course, it is now particularly anxious not to be found wanting again.

 

The result was that at its request, Downing Street convened a meeting of COBRA [Caught Out But Rallying Again], the GOVERNMENT COMMITTEE (NOT INDEPENDENT) which deals with responses to emergencies, to act upon Forest Gate tip-off.

[Well here again a word from the Intelligence Services to Tony Blair or more plausibly even vice versa asking what have we (Intelligence Services) got which would fit in with present developments in America and help my buddy George and would be very handy at this precise time -will we ever know?]

With such high-level pressure bearing down on them, and with the consequences of ignoring such a tip-off if it turned out to be true too awful to contemplate, the Police clearly had no alternative - but to act.

 

But the doubts at the Yard that have now surfaced in public would explain WHY immediately after the raid, the head of the Anti-Terrorist branch Peter Clarke issued his strangely -worded statement that it had been mounted ‘to prove or disprove the intelligence received.’

 

To what kind of parlous state have our security services descended that a dawn raid has to be mounted with 250 officers, equipped with firearms and chemical suits, in order to ‘prove or disprove ‘intelligence?

[If the powers that be get away with this policy of ‘prove or disprove’ then there will inevitably be a string of such failures to be expected. Tony Bair will be able to keep the public on constant tender-hooks with this taste it and see operation which will help his great friend on the other side enormously.]

Sure, they must not take any chances. BUT shouldn’t they at least get the intelligence sorted before taking an entire house apart?

 

Whichever way you look at it, at a time when this country is under grave threat OUR Security Services and Police are behaving like the Keyhole Cops.

 

If they have, indeed, fallen victim to a strategy of dissimilation, it is working like a charm. The Muslim community is being whipped up by extremists with claims that it is being victimised.

 

The POLICE have grovelled, Politicians are on the back foot, and the usual legal vultures are circling among reports that the brothers may sue for any number of breaches of their HUMAN RIGHTS.

 

And among ordinary members of the public, whose solidarity and resolve are crucial to the defence of this country, there is instead rising cynicism, suspicion and disbelief about the threat that it faces.

 

Al Qaeda must be laughing all the way to the bomb factory.

Counting the cost of the Forest Gate terror raid.

ASIAN brothers Mohammed Abdul Kahar 2, and Abul Koyair, 20, along with members of their family are aid to be staying at the £190-a-nigt hotel in King’s Cross, London.

 

‘The bill for their nine-day stay will be £10,000-just pennies les than some of the pay-outs awarded to families who lost loved one’s during the 7/7 bombings,’ said a contentious newspaper yesterday.

 

The ‘terror’ two, as they are known, are in the hotel because the police tore apart their house in Forest Gate. So it is surely not unreasonable that they have been accommodated temporary in a hotel at public expense. And King’s Cross is hardly Park lane.

 

Meanwhile, it is reported that the tip -off leading to the botched Forest Gate raid came from an ‘utter incompetent’ ex-waiter Mohammed Abu Bakr Mansha, 22, who is serving six years for terror offences.

 

He is said to have an IQ of 69 (one wonders, in which case, how he was convicted these days).

Mansha is a childhood pal of the ‘terror two’. They visited him in Belmarsh prison and to have joked afterwards about being security agents.

 

Might Mansha have provided intelligence agents with lurid stories about his friends making terrorist bombs and ‘suicide vests’ to secure better treatment for himself?

 

 

Just before the raid he was moved to a softer prison. God help us if Mansha is what is meant by

‘POLICE INTELLIGENCE’?

Fresh claims for public inquiry into London bombings after publication of American book claiming terrorist was known

It was a sensational story. According to a new book being serialised in

 

THE TIMES

 

 

American Intelligence Agents had tipped off MI% in 2003 about the risk posed [by the later 7/7 terrorist leader] Mohammed Siddique Khan, the ringleader of the London suicide bombers.

 

This “revelation” had serious implications. Not only did it suggest that the Security Service [MI5] had failed properly to keep tabs on a man who went on to perpetrate Britain’s worst terrorist atrocity; it also meant they had been lying about what they knew.

 

Dame Eliza Mannngham-Buller, the Head of MI% had told the Parliamentary Intelligence and Security Committee that investigations after the July 7 attack showed the Khan had featured as a peripheral figure in their investigations of other plots but they had not known who he was.

 

So, the claim in the book

 

 

‘One percent Doctrine’

 

written by Ron Suskind, an American author, that Khan was considered a dangerous threat that he was banned from America two years ago before last year’s attack and that BRITISH INTELLIGENCE officials knew this was as serious as it could get.

 

It was splashed across the front page of

THE TIMES

-on Monday and the allegation was repeated yesterday. The story was carried prominently in hundreds of newspapers and media outlets around the world.
