A glance at the dictionary definition on the word has:
‘The middle point of ANYTHING.’
-Men of MODERATE political opinions.’
WE now have a firm guide line to work to when we ask David Cameron what is the CENTRE ground in regard to the European Union and particularly the
UNITED STATES OF
To be centre ground surely means the mean of the topic under review in this case and we ask the pied piper (as he seems to be leading his members blindly into deep water) of the so-called Conservative Party does this not mean that he is NOT for a United States of Europe or for leaving the EU. If he agrees with this definition then we can establish his middle ground policy as clawing back from the EU any powers handed to Brussels which are in line with the New EU Constitution objectives and to go further to pursue a trading union only as most people who voted YES in 1975 were promised.
If what we have said is his intention we are moderately pleased but as we and with possibly more than half the population - hearing the TRUTH about the EU would no doubt wish to leave tomorrow.
We have to ask Mr Cameron what is his Centre ground
on the EU question because we and millions of people in our country would like to hear him say so.
At the Conservative Conference he refused to even discuss the EUROPEAN -what KIND of CENTRE GROUND is THAT?
The Man of the Glaciers has yet to start melting so that he can speak and tell his adoring fans what are the Centre ground polices he is so fond of and which he cannot bring into the open until an election is just around the corner.
IF he means to be TRUE to his WORD by HIS so called CENTRE POLICIES then there is NO difficulty in looking at the question of
EUROPEAN
LAW and ORDER
IMMIGRATION
HEALTH SERVICE
-in fact any question whatever under discussion.
Using Dave’s incantation of CENTRE GROUND on LAW and ORDER for instance will mean that all criminals will not be locked away for life or that all criminals will escape from punishment. The middle ground is that all criminals should be punished as the majority of victims decide (and not the Chief Justice with his idiotic Sentencing Committee) but there is no chance of this happening as there are not enough prisons to accommodate them and those who are in prison are having their sentences drastically reduced and in a growing number of cases are out after only a few days in the nick. Prison in Blairland is a revolving door –the criminal enters –gets his certificate of admission and discharge and leaves by the same door.
WE now hear that the Home Office is considering changing the law to enable assaults against the police constable not in future to be an automatic jailing offence. This is another move to fit in with the continental system and at the same time to stem the flow into already crowded prisons.
You don’t need to be a genius to see that the CENTRE ground is another word for COMPROMISE: –
‘Anything of intermediate or mixed kind –
Neither one thing or the other’.
Compromise of course is an excellent attribute but there are times when the middle ground is NOT ENOUGH. When someone brutally kills another with little or no mitigation the sentence is (or should) fit the crime. In Blairland as we all know this is rarely the case.
Returning to the question as regards the European Union one can see quite clearly that the Middle Ground or the Centre Ground is NOT the policy of any of the three political parties at UNITED STATES OF -as we all know Tony Blair has already signed the TREATY in Rome last year –twenty-five times –where we ask was the Centre ground then. Our man from the snow flows and ice of the Artic has not shown us his Middle Ground or Centre Ground – in fact he does not want to speak about it at all. Where is his COMPROMISE NOW!

MILITARY-ONLY wards are necessary to protect injured troops being treated in British hospitals, veterans and MPs said yesterday.

The Ministry of Defence is trying to arrange a ‘military managed ward within the NHS hospital –the main casualty reception centre for injured soldiers.
But servicemen and politicians have demanded more segregation and protection.
Service personnel are routinely treated on civilian wards open to the public. Most of
