A FAILURE OF LAW & ORDER LEADS 84 - OLD RAF VETERAN TO
TAKE HIS LIFE IN BLAIR’S HUMAN RIGHT’S BRITAIN
In
the Daily Mail on Saturday March 12th, 2005 an article by their
Special Investigator Lucie Morris has once again shown the callous indifference of
many burglars to the incomprehensible damage they do to the lives of their
victims and particularly the vulnerable-the disabled- the elderly.
WE
hope that the perpetrators of the following crime will be dealt with by those
in the underworld of crime who still believe there is even a code amongst them to protect the most
vulnerable in society as it is unlikely the forces of Law & Order will have
the available man-power or the training to climb ladders or scale roofs - which
will no doubt be necessary to catch the culprits.

Inside these four walls the terrible toll of three
burglaries led a proud 84- year- old RAF veteran to take his own life.
Could
more have been done to help him and his disabled wife?
The Police said’
‘I think we did a good job in
terms of helping Mr Buckland,’said a spokesman at Swindon police HQ
[Well!
as they acknowledge that Mr Buckland had already been burgled twice before the
final intrusion which led him to take his life -what had happened to the
‘Heartbeat’ bobby who was close to catching the villain -but then we live in
Blair’s Human Right’s world where the transgressor is considered of more
importance to reform than to protect the victim.
We have the Chief Constable Steve Green of Nottingham
saying that his officers have too much paperwork and therefore fewer officers
on the street.

One of the final tasks Herbert Buckland carried out for
his beloved wife was to serve her Sunday lunch. Then the 84 -year-old war veteran quietly slipped out to the back
of their bungalow-and hanged himself from a door beam.
He
was driven to suicide after their home was burgled three times, leaving him in
constant terror of another break-in.
The
last time it happened, the raiders got in even though he had turned their home
into a fortress. Two men breached a locked, double -glazed bedroom window and
attacked Mr Buckland as he came face -to-face with them.
Although
the former RAF man hid his inner turmoil from his 85-year-old wife Barbara, who
is disabled, he later told a relative he didn’t want to be ‘part of this world any
more’. And two weeks ago, he took
the agonising decision to end his life.
Not
that Mr Buckland, an engineer who served in India and Burma during the Second
World War, lacked courage. Far from
it. The pensioner simply knew that at
his age, against ruthless thugs, he was powerless.
‘He
felt ashamed that he wasn’t able to defend his home and his wife,’ said one relative.
But how could such an obviously vulnerable couple living
in the largely crime-free village of Wroughton, near Swindon, have been left
to defend themselves alone?
According to police sources, there had been suspicions for
some time that the first two raids
were likely to have been linked and carried out by the same gang, who were the
experts in ‘distraction
burglaries’.
Police
were also beginning to conclude that the couple were ‘easy prey’ and their
address may have been sold onto associates of the first burglars.
But instead of any
initiating any kind of increased patrol, police admit they simply asked neighbours
to keep an eye on them.
The nearest police station to the Bucklands’ home was
closed down several years ago and it is over ten miles to the one in Swindon.
‘Herbert
suspected the three crimes were linked’ said a relative. ‘He felt that the burglars would come back again and
again. I suppose he was having a nervous break-down, because he became paranoid
and anxious.
He didn’t see a way
out, and he must have been desperately upset because he was devoted to Barbara.
Relatives are still struggling to comprehend how the lives
of the well-liked couple were so tragically shattered just over a year ago
after Mr Buckland reported the first burglary at the one -bedroomed council
bungalow in December 2003.
Then, a man claiming to be from the water company kept the
couple talking in the bathroom while an accomplice entered their home and stole
money. A few months later, another
man-also claiming to be from the water firm-knocked on the door, saying
children were interfering with the roadwork’s outside.
While he kept the couple occupied, an accomplice walked
in and stole cash.
‘Herbert
and Barbara were absolutely distraught about the first burglary, so you can
imagine how they felt about being duped for a second time.’ Said a friend.
Increasingly fearful for
their safety, the Bucklands stopped answering their front door and kept the
windows locked.
Remarkably, the crimes were the only one’s reported in the
village for over six months. Then on February 24 this year, they were targeted
for the fateful third time.
When Mr Buckland heard noises from the bedroom, he went to
investigate and was confronted by the two burglars. There was an altercation and the pensioner was ‘shoved and
pushed over’ before the men escaped back out of the window.
‘Although he was not injured, it absolutely devastated
him’, said a relative. Wiltshire police
have a special ‘Bobby Van Scheme’ to help fix extra locks and security lights
on homes hit by repeat crimes.
But
the couple were not recommended for it until after the third burglary. But then, though, Mr Buckland had simply
enough
After
his death, his granddaughter wrote to the local paper:
‘My granddad no longer felt
safe and too proud a man to move out and I do believe that if it wasn’t for
these scumbags my granddad would still be alive today
My
granddad was always smiling and laughing-his death was a massive shock.
It
was only after the last burglary that he became anxious and worried about
money.’
Indeed, the whole village of Wroughton is now trying to
come to terms with his death.
Mr Bucklands closest friend, Val Davis, said he was
struggling to take in what depths of despair the pensioner must have plumbed to
drive him to suicide.
‘I just can’t take it in,’
he added. ’He must have been so upset at what had happened to the community
he grew up in.’
So
what do the police have to say?’
‘I
think we did a good job in terms of helping Mr Buckland’ said a spokesman at Swindon police HQ
He said referral to the Bobby Van Scheme for locks and
lights was made the day after the third burglary. ‘Unfortunately, Mr Buckland
took his life before they were fitted.
[The
fact that THE POLICE offer such a service shows they only react after the
crimes have been committed and then whatever they do will not in itself make
the citizen feel safe in their homes.
This Government wastes billions of pounds every year -we have over
£5,000,000 a week in IRAQ and billions wasted in many other areas too many to
mention.
The
Police and the Community at large let down Mr Buckland for not demanding real
action long time ago by returning the ‘bobby to the beat’ where his accumulated
local knowledge would possibly have saved Mr Buckland and the distress to his
wonderful devoted wife Barbara and family and friends.]
Yesterday,
Mr Buckland’s niece had to tell his widow-who is now in residential care-the
truth about his death.
‘Everyone
told her that Herbert had died after having a funny turn,’ she said. But we knew she would soon read about it, or
see it on television, so we had to tell her the whole truth.
‘Can you imagine anything worse than your husband of 50
years taking his own life so suddenly?
We are so desperately worried about how she will cope.’

subjects are concerned we need to remain in the PAST when it concerns
the protection of our
FREEDOM and COUNTRY.
Change we have had and will continue
to have but it must not threaten our very WAY-OF-LIFE our Common Law of
England and all which makes our country the most unique parliamentary
democracy in the world.
THERE CAN BE NO SURRENDER!
Should the Monarch fail to protect our inherited RIGHTS and
Liberties then we shall have to fight for a REPUBLIC as happened in the
17th century because the Monarch of the day ignored those very
'Rights
and Liberties of Englishmen' which will still survive in
the English Speaking World today in December 2007. How can the MOTHER of
PARLIAMENTS give away what is already our and our children's
INHERITANCE which cannot be taken away by
PARLIAMENT or the QUEEN.
If the above publicity exercise is to be used to
soften the impact to the population of the BETRAYAL of their
CONSTITUTION and COUNTRY then it would be the greatest TREASON by a
Monarch since James II who wished to sell our COUNTRY to the FRENCH for MONEY and

We now learn from the Daily Mail COMMENT
on Christmas Eve that the Queen's Speech will cover the catastrophic
fall in Values and Moral behaviour since the beginning of her 56 -year
reign. This has been brought about by the actions of HER MINISTERS and
the greater number of those in HER PARLIAMENT who have placed THEIR
CONCERNS before the INTERESTS of THE PEOPLE and NATION STATE.
As for the fact that HER PEOPLE feel
LOST that has been the direct result of the actions of HER SUCCESSIVE
GOVERNMENTS and the TRAITOROUS POLITICIANS including PRIME MINISTERS who
have stealthily over the 56 years of HER MAJESTY'S REIGN have almost
achieved their aim of ENSLAVING the PEOPLE to a FOREIGN POWER.
The reason for the marked drop in the
number viewing THE QUEEN'S SPEECH is no doubt because the mass of people
have realised years ago that the MONARCH is powerless to PROTECT their
WAY-OF-LIFE and events up to now have PROVED THEM CORRECT.
There is a well know saying

Is
it the case on Christmas Day 2007 while the Monarch talks our Rights
and Liberties are being taken from us under our very noses?
Of
course the QUEEN under HER CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE can only 'Advise and
Warn' HER MINISTERS but when the matter concerns the very LIFE of an
INDEPENDENT STATE we expect that HER MAJESTY consider the arrangement to
be AT AN END as it would make a MOCKERY of the PRIME IMPORTANCE of the
MONARCH to protect our inherited Rights and Liberties which HER
MINISTERS are endeavouring TO GIVE AWAY.
We as loyal subjects of the MONARCH who
is the living embodiment of OUR RIGHTS and LIBERTIES ask at this late
stage with only months to the eradication of a FREE NATION STATE some
veiled comments that HER MAJESTY will PROTECT our RIGHTS and LIBERTIES.
As for the MORAL tone of the NATION STATE
