It’s getting tiresome to read and hear comments stating Canada has always been a multicultural country being ignorant of the fact that multiculturalism as social policy was born out of political convenience for the Liberal Party of Canada in the early 1970s.  Prior to that Canada was very confident and comfortable with itself being a country of the British Commonwealth founded by the English and French languages; by European settlers; and rooted in European thought, culture, and traditions.  Everything was going great until some pompous ass came along and f**ked everything up. We all know who that was.

 

Multiculturalism has not contributed anything of significant worth to Canada or to Canadians.  It exists solely as a political tool to manipulate ethnic voting blocs into delivering their votes to a particular political party come election day which was its initial intent all along.  Outside of that all it has done for us is disrupt social cohesion by fragmenting our cities into ethnic enclaves/colonies.  It produces societal headaches by fostering resentment among ethnic groups who seek political power and influence by competing with each other for government largesse.  Because of multiculturalism governmental affairs are now bogged down with identity politics distracting it from addressing more pertinent concerns which it would be doing were it not allowed to distract itself with multicultural non-issues in the first place.  It lets government appear to govern without actually governing.

 

Multiculturalism is political rent seeking.  It’s the government creating a problem and then offering itself as the solution to the problem it created.  Millions of tax dollars are wasted to fund the new layers of bureaucracy that multiculturalism needs for its administration.  Millions of tax dollars are doled out each year to curry support from ethnic vote banks to fund their organizations, community centers, and festivals which we don’t go to because, frankly, we don’t give a s**t about their culture.  This money could have been put to better use to serve the real needs of Canadians if multiculturalism didn’t exist.

 

Multiculturalism is a hollow idea.  It’s a non-identity.  It has done nothing for us as a country and denies Canadians the ability to create a unique character and voice on the world stage.  It robs communities of local culture and nations of its character.  It needs to be thrown into the trash can of bad ideas where it belongs.  While we are at it - throw  the Liberal Party and Political Correctness into the trash can as well.

 

Gratitude

If you find yourself complaining about the hospitality of the country that granted you shelter from whatever real or made-up-for-immigration-purposes threat you happen to be fleeing from then perhaps you’re not a refugee at all.

 

Seriously, if you’re complaining about the food or the accommodations you’re gracious hosts provided you then, yeah, you’re not a refugee.

 

It’s bad enough close to $1 billion of our tax dollars has been allocated to relocate you to our shores the least you could do is not complain about it.  Canadians are weary enough of refugees already so it’s best not to give us more reasons to be even wearier of refugees as if we need more reasons.

 

And since I’m talking about it,  here are more signs you might not be a refugee.

 
 
 

 

 

You frequently return to the country of your alleged persecution even as your asylum application is being considered.

 

You bypass or pass through other countries that can provide shelter to get to one where the benefits are better.

 
 

You engage in regular criminal activity in the country where you seek sanctuary.

 

 

 

If even one of these describes you then you’re probable not a refugee but that’s not a problem.  We have an entire industry staffed by people whose livelihoods depend on your patronage and will help you fake it ‘til you make it even though they know you’re phonier than the danger you're purportedly fleeing.  When it comes to making a living they don’t care who you are just as long they get paid.

 

 

Logical Fallacies of Mass Immigration Supporters: The Ad Hominem.

When the current Minister of Immigration, John McCallum, announced Canada was opening its border even wider to immigrants while the rest of the world seemed to be closing theirs part of his reasoning was that Canada was continuing a tradition of immigration based on compassion.  In doing so he committed two logical fallacies in one sentence.  Logical fallacies are commonly employed by the pro-mass immigration crowd so I figure I might as well tackle the ones I’ve encountered over the years.
 

My feelings on logical fallacies are mixed because in debates about any topic the one who incessantly points out logical fallacies tends to be some pedantic twerp who cares more about pointing out the fallacies than actually discussing the issue.  I think they believe doing so makes them look smart.  It gets annoying, inviting your fist to their mouth as the only satisfactory retort to their nitpicking.  However, it doesn’t mean they’re wrong and they do have a point.
 

Furthermore, I intended this to be a single post but in writing it I found it becoming quite lengthy so I decided to break it up into a series of posts addressing one fallacy at a time.  I’ve found that there is nothing more off putting to the short attention span, tl;dr, internet age that we live in than a lengthy blog post, a crime I've committed many times before and appear to be in the act of committing right now.  So let’s get started.
 

The Ad Hominem
 

Let’s get this one out of the way first because it’s one of the most common logical fallacies readily employed by mass immigration proponents too intellectually lazy or too intellectually ill equipped (by which I mean stupid) or just too cowardly to discuss the issue as mature adults.
 

The ad hominem fallacy is the name calling debate tactic.  Its purpose is to discredit the message by discrediting the messenger.  Hopefully it will derail or shut down the debate by forcing the messenger to defend his or her character to the satisfaction of the arbitrary criteria of the name caller instead of arguing their position.
 

When it comes to discussing immigration ad hominem attacks encompass accusations of being a racist, xenophobe, Islamophobe, bigot, redneck, right-wing extremist, nationalist, white nationalist, white supremacist, and so on.  The fallacy of the ad hominem is that it seeks to conflate the merits of what is being said with who is saying it even though one is not dependent upon the other.  The Big Bang Theory is not invalidated by the fact a devout Catholic Priest was the one who first proposed it giving way to early criticisms of it of being "creationism in disguise.” Likewise, valid criticisms of the immigration system are not invalidated if presented by the most unrepentant racist ever to walk the planet. 
 
 

If you find yourself in a debate and your opponent can do nothing but hurl ad hominem mud then consider yourself the victor.  It’s also best not to further engage this person because you’ll just be wasting your time.  Just give them a lollipop and a colouring book and direct them to their safe space where their fragile world view cannot be challenged, where they’re always right, and where everyone gets to ride the rides for free except for you, of course, because you’re a f**king racist.

Austrian intelligence says US organizations are funding immigration into Europe

An anonymous employee from the Austrian Defense Office, which is operated by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Defense, says that some groups in the USA are paying smugglers to get more African and Middle Eastern immigrants into Europe.

“Traffickers demand exorbitant sums to bring refugees to Europe illegally. The conditions are often very poor, but still a transport does currently cost 7000-14000 Euro…” the Austrian Defense Office employee told Info-Direkt.at.

“There are insights that organizations from the US have created a co-financing model and contribute substantial amounts to trafficker’s costs.”

“Not every refugee from North Africa has 11,000 euros in cash. Nobody asks where the money comes from.”

The employee said that there was a “strict news blackout” on how the African and Middle Eastern immigrants were able to pay the traffickers fees.

If this is true, then it means various anti-White groups have resorted to paying for non-White illegal immigrants, instead of legal ones, all so they can make White Europeans a vanishing minority.

While these anti-Whites claim to be building “diverse” societies, it seems highly suspicious that ONLY White countries are targeted to

THIS WILL RESULT IN MORE OF OUR ONCE PRIZED GREEN BELT  BEING DESTROYED- THIS HAS BEEN ONE OF OUR REASONS WHY IMMIGRATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESTRICTED OVER 50 YEARS AGO WHEN IT WAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT WE WERE ONE OF THE MOST CROWDED COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD.

WE WILL BE LEFT WITH MILLIONS OF UNEMPLOYED  AT GREAT COST TO THE TAX PAYER- MANY  ROAMING OUR INADEQUATE ROAD STRUCTURE AND POSSIBLY BRINGING TRAFFIC STRANDED FOR HOURS WITH URGENT MEDICAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT GOODS HELD UP FOR HOURS OR DAYS.

EVERY NEW ADDITION  TO OUR POPULATION PUTS A GREATER FINANCIAL COST ON OUR EXISTING WORKFORCE AND MANY IMMIGRANTS ON BENEFITS WILL USE THE SYSTEM TO THEIR OWN BENEFIT.

If this article makes you angry how can you argue that Multiculturalism is not designed to polarize society?

This is banned but separation is not

Multiculturalism is the policy of encouraging the separate development of several cultures within a nation state. It is not about having Curry Houses and Balti restaurants, these just make for a varied national culture, it is not about hip hop or the Chinese New Year, multiculturalism is about encouraging people from different backgrounds to develop separately from the rest of society. Multiculturalism is not about diversity, it is a political movement with a clear and deliberate policy of deconstructing national cultures in favour of many separate cultures. It is a sad truth that 90% of those who say they support multiculturalism are actually anti-racist and pro-diversity: they have got no idea that when they say they support "multiculturalism" they are supporting a subversive political and philosophical movement within Western countries. It is probably the support of this ignorant faction that has allowed Multiculturalism, which is another word for "separate development" (in Afrikaans 'apartheid'), to become so embedded in Britain.

A WARNING!

Multiculturalism in Britain was a policy implemented by New Labour with the intention of creating a revolutionary tension and change in society. It was a Soviet policy that was released in instruction packs distributed to the various, subversive, university "socialist societies" in the nineteen seventies, at the height of the Cold War. The policy was intended to destabilise the West. (See The Roots of New Labour). It failed in its primary objective because the British are a tolerant culture. It is amazing that British journalists, especially in the television media and BBC, have supported this policy with such zeal although this is probably due to the fact that many of these individuals also have roots in the British left wing movements of the 1970s and that multiculturalism is now seen as an 'answer' to how to accommodate nationalities within political unions such as the EU, Russian Empire and Chinese Empire.

Multiculturalism was more fully characterised in the work of the philosopher Jacques Derrida who proposed that the polarization of society should be an objective of social policy. Derrida was a malevolent force in modern philosophy whose ideas were largely designed to damage social structures. Curiously governments have permitted the appointment of post Marxist post modernists who support the ideas of Derrida to chairs in sociology and education in western universities so that social policy is now being guided by many people who believe that the objective of social policy should be the destruction of a structured society.  Political commentators have not realised that socialism now relies on racial tension, not class war, to exacerbate political difference and create conflict (see Postmodernism-poststructuralism-postmarxism).

Apart from the obvious ill-effects of polarising people into ghettoes and opposing groups Multiculturalism also has some serious adverse effects that result from the fact that almost all non-western cultures have not undergone the changes that result from exposure to the Enlightenment and the Age of Reason. Examples of the adverse effects of multiculturalism are: failure to identify with society at large, socialising solely with your co-religionists so depriving others in the neighbourhood of society, supporting the caste system and caste attitudes so that the poor are kept poor, excluding people from outside your culture from work, girls wearing restrictive clothing in school so that they cannot participate in the full range of lessons, forced marriage, setting up schools to teach Intelligent Design or Koranic ideas on biology so depriving children of a truthful education, supporting foreign powers against your own country so endangering our security etc. All of these adverse effects of multiculturalism and many, many more are evident in British life. The socialist elite argues that separate cultures within the UK should be encouraged to exercise these "freedoms" but each freedom that is encouraged within a separate culture deprives the whole of British society of other freedoms. Those who support multiculturalism generally just deny that these adverse effects will occur but some, such as the effects of restrictive clothing in young girls and the effects of a caste system etc. are simply inevitable because they are in the nature of those "freedoms".

 Multicultural policies are apparent in a variety of institutions and exist wherever the intention is to increase the polarization and separation of people rather than to reduce it. The teaching of history in British schools has been heavily infiltrated and oriented towards polarization, for instance British children are taught about slavery and colonisation rather than about emancipation and the explosive development of European states in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. They are taught about the US Civil Rights movement, which has nothing to do with the British but upsets black people, rather than the peaceful decolonisation of much of the British Empire. They are taught about the persecution of the Jews rather than the heroic struggle of the British and the global British cultural zone against the Germans, Russians and their allies that saved the Jews. Some of the legislation that treats groups of people as minorities and victims also polarizes society. The recent extensions to Equalities legislation in the Equalities Act that outlaw political discussion about belief are also designed to polarize society.

The social tension caused by multiculturalism must now be repaired and wholesale immigration into the UK, which is already overcrowded, must be stopped (See The benefits of immigration to the UK economy). Multiculturalism has already caused the outbreaks of terrorism associated with Londonistan (many of the 9/11 terrorists stayed in the UK and the 7/7 terrorists were British) and will lead to worse problems as time goes on.

The coalition government has taken a sensible stand against multiculturalism (see State multiculturalism has failed, says David Cameron). The government should be supported in this stand and the New Labour appointed BBC governors and current affairs staff should be quietly removed to prevent the distorted coverage of the issue. Governments should oppose both institutional multiculturalism and institutional racism because apartheid is both a cause and a symptom of racism.

Many races in one culture is workable and may be desirable but separating the races into cultural ghettos will polarise society and cause perpetual strife, though not a full blown revolution and totalitarian government, as the originators of multiculturalism once hoped. It is time to finally cauterise the damage done to the social fabric of Britain by the Cold War and to move on to realist, liberal politics.

Multiculturalism has recently been adopted by those who are in favour of large scale political unions such as the EU as a desperate approach to the problem of the free movement of labour and how to contain multiple nationalities within a single state. This problem could be resolved by simply unwinding the EU back to the EEC without the destructive effects of multiculturalism.

If we continue with Multiculturalism we will end up with tribalism with all that that entails from corruption to nepotism to gangs, riots and terrorism.

The whole point of a modern nation with one culture was to stop these evils. Nations are the unit of cultural diversity and this must be respected.

BRITAIN'S voting system is 'archaic' and divisive' and does not represent the will of millions, a pressure group has argued. The Electoral Reform Society, which has campaigned for proportional representation for 130 years, claimed last month's General Election was the most disproportionate ever.  It said UKIP would have WON up to 80 seats using the type of PR used in many European nations, while the GREENS would have got 20.  UKIP and the GREENS received 5MILLION VOTES, but under the FIRST-PAST-THE-POST system ended up with ONE MP each.  An E R S-commissioned survey said under PR the TORIES would have seen their tally of MPs fall  by almost 100 while  LABOUR would have gone down 24...

Institutions which elsewhere are recent and artificial creations appear in England almost as works of nature, spontaneous and unquestioned. The deepest instinct of the Englishman - how the word "instinct" keeps forcing itself in again and again! - is for continuity;

From this continuous life of a united people in its island home spring, as from the soil of England, all that is peculiar in the gifts and the achievements of the English nation. If the nation is the source of law, it is reasonable to infer that national consent is a normal element in legislation, and that the State ought legitimately to take its limits from the nation.
 
 Laws are part of the thing's nature. Law is national, growing on a particular soil, suited to a particular character and wants. Legislation should grow in harmony with the people-should be based on habits as well as on precepts. It should be identified with the national character and life. On this depends growth and progress. The people cannot administer a law not their own. This is the reverse of self-government, which proceeds not from a code but from custom, is learnt not from books but from practice, is administered by the people themselves. However good the code may be, if it comes from allude than from national life and history, it destroys self-government . . . it is for this reason that it has never been possible to export more than phantoms of the British Constitution.

The following statistics confirm what we have always maintained that it has been the deliberate policy of New Labour to undermine the culture of the indigenous population in line with their now admitted damaging multicultural obsession which like everything else has undermined our society whether it is their tolerance of DRUGS-DRINK-GAMBLING- CRIME and their encouragement of the Sexual Revolution which has led to the number of infectious deceases up from 428,575 in 1995 to 674,827 in 2003 so the figure will be even higher today in 2005. There were over 110,000 abortions last year-and if one calculates the number of abortions since David Steel MP brought in the Act in 1966 we are talking about more than

2,000,000 abortions

 as a minimum estimate. -which says it all.

Then there is their equality mania and their failure with the persistent offender facing Reform before Punishment instead of Punishment with Reform and their determination to destroy the FAMILY in order to allow an anything goes culture for which many people are now bearing the suffering which in many cases will also affect the lives of those not yet born.

We have a Prime Minister that says there is no place in politics for morality -and if that were true which it is not- then WHY? - Has he done so much to destroy the FAMILY- the very heart of morality in society]

Almost seven in ten babies are born to immigrants in some parts of [England], a report reveals.

Across inner London more than half of all births are to mothers born abroad, and in some boroughs the figure rises to 68%.

For [England] as a whole the proportion has gone up from 12% a decade ago to almost 20% today.

As English-born women have fewer babies and wait until later in life, official forecasts currently expect immigrants and their children to account for five million of a six million-population growth in the next 25 years.

With the issue established as a battleground in the forthcoming general election, the report from

MigrationWatch UK think-tank

highlights the scale of the influx under [New] Labour.

 

Based on data from the Government’s Office for National Statistics, it shows that babies born to immigrants are concentrated in several major cities.

 

The figure is more than 30% in Manchester, Bradford, Leicester, Birmingham, Cambridge Slough and Oxford. Across Greater London as a whole 47% of babies are born to immigrants, rising to 55% for inner London.

The highest proportion is in the boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Newham and Westminster at 68%

The Office of National Statistics figures for 2003, the latest to be published, show that of 621,429 births in the UK, 115,360 just under 19%- were to foreign mothers, mostly from ‘new Commonwealth’ countries including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Caribbean islands.

MigrationWatch chairman and former British Ambassador Sir Andrew Green said:

‘These changes are taking place without adequate debate-or consideration of the social, economic and cultural issues that such rapid change is bound to create.’

 [Well! we are not surprised and we are sure most of the people are not surprised after all we have a Prime Minster who has already signed over our once Free Country into slavery even though millions of voters in the European Election in 2004- at least 2,600.000 - who wish to leave the European Union.

If the voters ignore the bribes in the forthcoming general election then not only will there be UKIP Members of Parliament but the numbers of New Labour and Tory MP’s will be reduced so that they are unable to bring in any more damaging legislation.

The Party to bring into debate the real issues that concern the country will survive with the help of the smaller Parties like UKIP and possibly others.

The others who try to peddle the same deceitful trash as defended today and fail to hear the People - will get their just deserts.]

A BLUNDER FOR WHICH WE'LL ALL PAY THE PRICE

BRITAIN is facing the largest wave of immigration for nearly 1,000 years.  The number of Huguenots in the 17th century and the Jews a century ago are trivial compared to the present flows. Recent GOVERNMENT figures put the net inflow at almost 500 every day

On part of this inflow comes from  the new East European members of the EU.  If these people wish to work, they must register, and today's figures show that the number who have registered since eight countries joined in May 2004 has hit 500,000 mark

THE HOME OFFICE - NEVER LET IT BE FORGOTTEN, PREDICTED THAT THIS FIGURE WOULD BE A MAXIMUM 26,000 OVER TWO YEARS.

What effect is all this having and how long can we expect it to continue?

For a start, the registration numbers are looking increasingly DUBIOUS. They have never included the self-employed or temporary workers -the Government themselves have added nearly 50% to take account of this. Even more worrying is the real number of East Europeans who have decided to stay in Britain compared with the number the GOVERNMENT claims have stayed.

Official; statistics suggests that three-quarters of them go home within a year. But these figures are based on a passenger survey which focuses almost entirely on Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester -while East Europeans arrive on budget airlines, mainly at Luton, Stansted and regional airports.

The Governor of the Bank of England has complained twice publicly that the numbers of immigrants are so unreliable that he cannot estimate how tight the labour market has become and, consequently whether or not there is a need to raise interest rates.

There is growing evidence of British workers being replaced by East Europeans. And since East Europeans accept lower wages, British workers -from construction workers to truck drivers to flower arrangers -are suffering pay cuts.

 

The East Europeans can afford a lower wage. They are mainly single. They can, and often do, live in very crowded conditions. And, of course they can earn four or five times what the would earn at home.  This is all good news for them and for their employers. East Europeans have established a solid reputation for hard work, turning up on time and making few demands.  Lower wages mean higher profits. They also mean lower inflation and somewhat lower interest rates [Provided the Bank of England can get the correct immigration figure for their calculation]

The Middle Classes are happy too. Cheap nannies, cheaper restaurants and a cheap hand-wash for the gas guzzler.

 

But there are snags. Not only do the low-paid suffer a reduction in wages. Worse, we risk building up an underclass of long-term unemployment.

 

There are a million young people who are neither in work or education. If you add those on incapacity benefit to the unemployed (now at a six year high), you have nearly

-young people who are NOT WORKING and , more importantly have little prospect of doing so for the foreseeable future.

 

Which employer is going to take a young British worker of incapacity benefit when he can take a bright young energetic and probably over-qualified Pole?

 

The Government frequently claims the East Europeans are filling gaps in the labour market. But we have to examine the facts, NOT THE SPIN.  It is five years since the Government first proclaimed that we need immigration to fill

600,000 vacancies in OUR LABOUR MARKET.

Since then, immigration has added about three-quarters of a million to our population. YET believe it or not, VACANCIES are still at

600,000

The REASON is that immigrants are not only filling jobs, but they are also adding to consumer demand, which in turn creates more jobs so that vacancies in the labour market remain the same. 

The Government argument is demonstrably FALSE

The main outcome is that we become an ever-more crowded island. And that is where the shoe really pinches.  The strain on our public services and infrastructure grows by the day.  Children are turning up at school gates with NO ENGLISH and NO WARNING.  Rents are rising sharply as the buy-to-let market booms and house prices rise.  More young people find it impossible to get on the housing ladder as prices spiral.

I do not mean in any way to be critical of the new arrivals. They work hard and fit in. BUT the bottom line is that we are a small island and are already overcrowded-especially in the

SOUTH EAST

The Department of Transport has forecast that traffic on our roads will increase by 30 per cent in the next ten years and by 40 to 50 per cent on motorways. GRIDLOCK APPROACHES. It is time that serious thought was given to how many people we can sensibly accommodate on this island.

Is there any relief in sight? Not in the Third World, from where the majority of immigrants still come.  As for Europe, Romania and Bulgaria are no longer on the horizon but on our doorstep. From next January 2007 30 million people from those countries will be free to enter Britain.

 

In the longer term much depends on how much time it will take these countries, given substantial aid from Brussels, to reach our level of economic prosperity. Poland, the source of 60 per cent of East European immigration, will be a key factor. At present, its wealth per head is only just over a third of ours.

 

Even if its economy grows at five per cent a year (and we maintain our long-term growth of 2.5 per cent), it will be 34 years before they catch up.

Demographics will help. The two most populous countries -Poland and Romania -will both have a declining number of 18 year-olds in the years to come, down by about a third over the next 20 years.

Eventually too, the other EU countries will be obliged to open their labour markets to the new member states.

The biggest factor of all is how long our newcomers decide to stay.

Eventually, the flow of those going home will balance those arriving and we will be in the same situation as we are with say FRANCE.

 

This interchange of people is what the EU is all about. Eventually it will enrich our lives. The Government's mistake has been to rush into the free movement of labour with countries so much poorer than ourselves.

 

It now tries to SPIN this DECISION as a GREAT SUCCESS, hoping perhaps that we will overlook its massive miscalculations which originally forecast ONLY 13,000 East Europeans would come here a year.

 

THE REALITY IS IT IS PUTTING A BRAVE FACE ON A BLUNDER FOR WHICH THE LESS FORTUNATE IN OUR SOCIETY ARE NOW PAYING

THE collapse of Christianity has wreaked British society a leading Church of England bishop declared yesterday.

It has destroyed family life and left the country defenceless against the rise of radical Islam in a

The Pakistan-born bishop dated the downfall of Christianity from the social and sexual revolution of the 1960.s

 'faith and piety among women'

for the steep decline in Christian worship.

Dr Nazir-Ali said the

'newfangled and sincerely founded'

The Bishopric of Rochester is one of the ten most powerful positions in the Church of England. Dr Nazir-Ali's attack on the

DECLINE OF CHRISTIANITY

appears to be the opposite corner to the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams, and many of his fellow bishops.

But he holds some views in common with the Church's other widely- heard and popular prelate, Ugandan-born Dr John Sentamu,the

Archbishop of York.

Over the past six months, Dr Nazir-Ali has made a number of criticisms of Islam and its influence.  Among them have been charges about the spread of no-go areas for non-Muslims and worries over the impact of

new mosques.

Last weekend he was one of just three bishops who backed a move in the Church's parliament, the General Synod, to encourage the conversion of

Muslims to Christianity.

His latest attack once again criticises Dr Williams's backing for

SHARIA LAW

saying that

 'recognising its jurisdiction in public law is fraught with difficulties, precisely as it arises from a different set of assumptions than the

LAW HERE'.

Dr Nazir-Ali detailed his arguments in an article in the newly -launched political magazine

'Standpoint'.

The bishop, himself an immigrant from Pakistan in the mid-1980's, admitted that he might be thought the least qualified person top discuss the

British Identity.

But he quoted

Rudyard Kipling:

'What should they know of England  - who only England know?

The bishop said 'something momentous had happened in the 1960's-he quoted historians who point to a cultural revolution in which women ceased to uphold or pass on the Christian faith and to the role of

Marxist revolutionaries.

Dr Nazir-Ali-pointed with approval to the finding that 'instead of resisting this phenomenon, liberal theologians and church leaders all but capitulated.

He said: 

'it has created the moral and spiritual vacuum in which we now find ourselves.'

In the place of Christianity there was nothing

'except perhaps endless self-indulgence'

The bishop said the consequences were 'the destruction of the family because of the alleged parity of the different forms of life together, the loss of a father figure, especially for boys, because the role of fathers is deemed otiose, the abuse of substances (including alcohol), the loss of respect for the person leading to horrendous and mindless attacks, the increasing communications gap between generations and social classes -

Another result, he said, was that immigrants had been welcomed, not on the basis of

to which they would be welcome to contribute, but by the

'new fangled and insecurely founded doctrine of

MULTICULTURALISM'

The bishop warned that views not founded on

Christianity

would not produce the same values.

'Instead of Christian virtues of humility, service and sacrifice, there may be honour, piety, the saving of face etc'.

He questioned what resources were available for an ideological battle against

 Radical Islamism

A MORAL and spiritual vacuum...endless self-indulgence...the destruction of the family...British identity is worth fighting for.

The Daily Mail agrees with virtually everything that the  Bishop of Rochester says, but we have one question to ask. When was the last time we heard a Church of England bishop daring to contradict so trenchantly the liberal consensus?

But Michael Nazir-Ali is an unusual churchman. Not only does he have the courage of his Christian convictions, but like another impressive and outspoken prelate, John Sentamu the Archbishop of York, he was born overseas.

WHY IS IT that it takes churchmen born outside our country to see that we have a society and religion worth defending?

Perhaps it's because Both Bishop Nazir-Ali and Archbishop came from countries (Pakistan and Uganda) where they had to fight for their beliefs, struggling against

persecution and prejudice.

 

THE SAME IS TRUE IN BRITAIN TODAY

If we don't fight for our culture and religion

WE WILL LOSE BOTH

If the Church of England had more like them in its ranks, its future-and Britain's-would be brighter.

Convert who crusaded against extremists

BORN into a Roman Catholic family in Pakistan , the young Michael Nazir-Ali converted to Anglicanism at the age of 20.

AS a young man, he suffered rough treatment of the kind regularly handed out to Christians in a country where failing to follow the official religion can sometimes end in murder.

He moved to Cambridge to study theology and then returned as a priest to Pakistan before being brought to London in the 1980's to serve as an assistant to the then Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Robert Runcie.

He is one of the bishops who has been called on by the Prince of Wales to give advice on Islam. However, Dr Nazir -Ali does not share the prince's enthusiasm for Islamic values. He has warned Charles to give up his hope of being

'Defender of Faiths'

because of the incompatibility of different beliefs.

Dr Nazir-Ali has accused Muslims of promoting double-standards by looking for both

'victimhood and domination'

Dr Nazir-Ali has called for powers for officialdom to remove veils from Muslim women for security reasons; and he warned repeatedly over the

DANGER OF EXTREMISM

In particular he has called on Islamic leaders to allow Muslims to abandon their beliefs and adopt other religions.

Dr Nazir-Ali has spoken up for an estimated 3,000 Britons under threat of retaliation for giving up their faith and has condemned Islamic states that maintain the death penalty for apostasy.

His outspokenness has put him in the vanguard of opposition to hard-line Islamism and made him one of the highest -placed enemies of the gay-rights movement.

He angered the Archbishop of Canterbury by threatening to boycott this year's

Lambeth Conference of Anglican Bishops from around the world.

He has criticised civil partnerships and opposed the extension of IVF treatment to single women and lesbians.

 Dr Nazir-Ali has much in common with the

Archbishop of York

DR John Sentamu.

Unlike him, however, he does not have the populist touch.  This may have contributed to his failure to win the post of

Archbishop of Canterbury

for which he was once considered a leading candidate

 Here is  the concept of multiculturalism framed by liberal elites has proved massively counter-productive.

It is often forgotten by those who pursue such policies that most migrants are escaping countries that are dysfunctional.  One reason they are dysfunctional is because people are not used to trusting, co-operating with, and helping those who are different.  We should be wary, then, of the mantra to have 'respect for other cultures'.

So how far should we expect those who come to our country to take on the norms of the society they've chosen to join?

At one extreme is assimilation and integration, whereby migrants intermarry with the indigenous population and adopt the ways of that population. I am the product of this assimilation migration. So is Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, whose grandfather was a Turkish immigrant.

 

Then at the other extreme there is permanent cultural isolation of migrants in a hermetic community where schooling and language are separate, and married outside the group is punished by expulsion.

Multiculturalism began primarily because many migrants preferred to congregate together in clusters that protected their culture of origin. but to criticise them for this was thought to border on racism, forgetting that anyone of any race can absorb any culture, Hence multiculturalism was projected as desirable in itself.

That would be fine if the outcome was 'fusion' - a middle ground in which everyone brings something distinctive to the common table from which all eat, exemplified by the popularity of chicken tikka, an  innovation by an immigrant who rose to the challenge of fusing his own cultural experience with an indigenous demand for fast food

Fusion demands upon both migrants and indigenous Britons to be curios about other cultures and to adopt them.  But the dominant tendency so far has been to interpret multiculturalism as the right to persistent cultural separation.

Long term assimilation as a goal for immigrants populations has sadly, pretty well fallen out of fusion.  I say sadly because it  has some major advantages not just for the indigenous, but for everyone.

To may mind there is no ethical reason why- as part of the deal in being admitted to this country- a migrant should not be expected to absorb the indigenous culture, not least its language. Assimilation also breaks down distrust and replaces it with mutual regard.

Instead we have a situation where migrants have become steadily more concerned concentrated in a few cities and especially in London. The 2011 census revealed that the indigenous British had become the minority in their own capital.

Separation also shows up in cultural practices resulting from Islamic fundamentalism. Single-ethnicity immigrant schools are encouraged.  British Bangladeshi women are increasingly adopting the full veil, whereas in Bangladesh itself the veil is not worn.

Research also shows that another barrier to greeter integration is the easy access welfare system, which tempts migrants into remaining  at the bottom of the social ladder.

Of course, it also tempts the indigenous population but it appears to be more tempting for migrants because they are accustomed to radically lower living standards. Even the modest income provided by welfare systems seems attractive, and so the incentive to work to get a higher income by getting a job is weaker.

Thus, between them, multiculturalism and generous welfare systems hamper integration at home and at work.

 

INFLUX

 

The failure to assimilate quickly enough has two crucial effects. First the data shows that the bigger and more separatist an immigrant community is, the more it supports further immigration to join it. This the influx will not stop, but speed up.

Second, and more surprisingly, social bonds within the indigenous population can be weakened.  AS their locality becomes  more  culturally fragmented people tend to withdraw from taking part in group activities and retreat into isolation. They opt out and hunker down- so society as a whole losses some of its cohesion.

Feeling English should be open to everybody. Everyone permanently living here should pitch in to forge a common cultural identity of which we are all proud.

Yet under multiculturalism, being English is in danger of being relegated to the status of just one racial-cum-cultural community among many others: 'the English community' alongside the 'Bangladeshi community' or the 'Somali community'.

 The English community has to be integrationist; anything less would breach anti-discrimination laws. Yet the English cannot be expected to be integrationist if that same expectation is not placed on IMMIGRANTS.

In setting migration policy, governments need to balance fairly the interests of the indigenous poor, in particular, against the interests of migrants.

As we have seen, integration of migrants into British society has proved more difficult than anticipated.  Newcomers are not being assimilated.  If a balance is to be achieved, we need to make some fundamental choices.

FIRST, we must decide whether it is morally right or wrong to restrict immigration. If , as some people believe, all restrictions are wrong by definition, then we need to face up to the fact that migration will build to rates far in excess of those in recent decades.

 

But if restrictions are legitimate - as I  believe they are-then migration controls far from being an embarrassing vestige of nationalism and racism, are going to be increasingly important.

A Gallup poll indicated that around 40 per cent of the population of poor countries would choose to migrate to rich ones if they could. That is the extent of the demand out there. To permit it would drain the poorest countries of most useful people and place impossible  strains on rich societies.

All the evidence that I have  compiled leads to the conclusion that moderate immigration can bring gains to society as a whole, but with the massive levels that would be implied by open borders, everyone would lose out.

THAT IS WHY THE POPULATION OF A COUNTRY IS AN IMPORTENT MATTER NOT TO BE LOST SIGHT OF.

OVER 50 YEARS AGO ENGLAND WAS DESCRIBED AS ONE OF THE MOST DENSELY POPULATED COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD. BUT GOVERNMENTS SINCE INSTEAD OF TAKING MEASURES TO REDUCE IT BY STRICTER IMMIGRATION LAWS AND CLOSER MONITORING OF SHORT STAYS AND  THOSE WHO FAIL TO GO BACK TO THEIR HOMES ELSEWHERE -FAILED TO DO SO . In some 600 English primary schools, English is the second language for over 70 per cent of the pupils.

In other countries which have accepted huge numbers of immigrants, the teaching of the host-language has been seen as an absolute necessity. You can not become an Israeli, for example, without showing a knowledge of Hebrew. How else do societies hold together, other than by speaking the same language?

As we begin to absorb the information from the 2011 Census, we have had to come to terms with its extraordinary statistics, such as the fact that more than a million schoolchildren in England and Wales belong to households where English is not spoken...'

HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of MIGRANTS have taken advantage of SOFT EU rules to move to Britain by the BACK DOOR.

Foreign nationals from outside Europe who would struggle to secure a UK visa have instead got EU CITIZENSHIP elsewhere. Under Brussels rules, they are then free to travel here and find a job. A report found the number of EU passport -holders born elsewhere who had settled in the UK had tripled in a DECADE.

The University of London's Migration Observatory found there were 78,000 non-Europeans with EU citizenship in Britain in 2004, but by this year 2015 the number had reached

264,000

The non slave owning Whites hated slavery, because they were forced by law to help capture run away slaves with no compensation and it was extremely hard to get a high paying job, with slaves doing a lot of work for free.

If for a moment, we view the whole system of English Common Law as partly public and partly private law, even though English legal thought does not draw a sharp distinction between the two, we may the more easily grasp the early attitude of the colonists towards the law of the home-land.

On the claim of the colonists to the benefits of Magna Carta and other constitutional statutes of England, see Osgood "American Colonies in the seventeenth century," 1902,i.p.258.

Or, in Channing's [History of the United States,"i.1905,p.529]   phrase:

"So far as [the English Common law] protected them from the English government and the royal officials they looked upon it as their

"BIRTHRIGHT"

-so far as it interfered with their development it was to be disregarded"

If we bear this in mind , we shall see the more clearly that English constitutional statutes and cases were, as their "birthright"

-of fundamental importance to the English colonists of America in their struggles with colonial and imperial authorities.

The history of Magna Carta in America has a meaning far deeper than the influence of a single constitutional document; for Magna Carta typifies those ideals of law and government which have spread to America and to many other political communities that lie beyond the four seas encircling the island realm [of England] itself.

The world diffusion of those ideals of liberty and justice deserve to be studied in its entirety, as a vast historical process which had its beginnings far back in the middle ages, and which has shaped and is still shaping in modern times the institutions of all the political commonwealths that owe their spiritual inheritance to
